27 87 Perfumes - rule of 72
Calculated elegance
The Rule of 72 – a formula that estimates how long it takes for an investment to double in value. How does the back-of-the-envelope calculation work? Divide 72 by your annual interest rate. The Rule of 72 is an homage to the world of corporate elegance, money, calculations, suits, and sunglasses. Your rule, your risk.
"Rule of 72" combines the soft elegance of saffron and geranium with expressive, natural Thai oud and creamy guaiac wood. Gentle leather notes, paired with vetiver and patchouli, don't shout, but whisper: self-confidence. The result is a fragrance that exudes both determination and ambition.
Wild Line
Rule of 72 is the third fragrance in the Wild Line by 27 87: a series of fragrances designed to make a statement for different occasions.
The packaging
Straightforward and in deep dark blue — an ode to the bold and ambitious entrepreneurial spirit.
The present
Much of what we thought we knew is outdated. What once felt safe and familiar is constantly changing, from our lives and work to consumption and wealth. Digital and virtual realities are replacing outdated economic concepts, while independence and individualism are reshaping our world. New rules require new ways of thinking: determination instead of doubt, confident intellect, and courageous insight. It's up to you. Now more than ever.
The 72 rule, your powersuit
With deep blue and black elegance, the fragrance lends a luxurious grandeur without appearing arrogant: distinctive, unique, calculated and absolutely in the here and now, Rule of 72 whispers style instead of shouting it, making a timeless statement.
Natural Thai agarwood
In Rule of 72, we use the highest quality, pure agarwood oil from Thailand—one of the most expensive and exclusive natural products in the world. The black resin, produced by a fungal infection or insect infestation of the Aquilaria tree, is known in perfumery as agarwood or oud. Some simply call it "wood of the gods." Agarwood possesses a very rich, deep, and complex character. With subtly muted, woody-nutty notes and warm animalic undertones, its richness and resinous, smoky quality are reminiscent of sandalwood, leather, and patchouli. This multifaceted nature is also reflected in Rule of 72, impressing with its unique presence and richness of expression.
