Demarés Philosophy
Fascinated by the wild beauty of Mallorca, the boundless expanse of the sea meeting rugged cliffs and untouched landscapes, Uschi Unsinn-Zebergs developed a deep connection to this most contradictory island in the Mediterranean early on. An island that, like no other, knows how to open itself to modernity and yet preserve its natural, original beauty. Since her first holiday in Mallorca, the cosmetics expert has been captivated by the harmonious balance of opposites. By the pulsating life in the streets and the wild, untouched nature – both seem to merge seamlessly.
In 2015, Uschi Unsinn-Zebergs finally founded her cosmetics company Love Living Portixol S.L.U on the island. Mallorca is her source of inspiration; here she wants to realise her wish to combine the treasures of the Mediterranean, the valuable essences of Mallorcan plants – and to develop high-quality care from them with the help of modern techniques. In her cosmetic line, too, naturalness and modernity should complement each other and create something unique in perfect harmony. A short time later, she received valuable support in this endeavour from cosmetic creator Bernd Kuhs. He also shares her firm conviction that Mallorca carries the secret of beauty in its landscape. Here, in the Mediterranean climate, plants grow whose ingredients are valuable treasures for the care of demanding skin. But both know: active ingredients alone are not a guarantee for highly effective skin care.
Only with the right texture can the ingredients effectively penetrate the skin and unfold their maximum potential there. A revolutionary microbiological process developed by Kuhs finally offered the solution. It enables the production of a membrane structure that is very similar to the natural structure of the skin. This allows the active ingredients to be transported much more easily into the skin layer and develop their full effect there. At Uschi Unsinn-Zebergs' suggestion, this membrane structure was further refined, making it possible to completely dispense with artificial and chemical excipients such as parabens, emulsifiers, preservatives and colourants. At the end of this refinement process, the basis for the first jointly developed cosmetic line was finally created – Demarés – The Mediterranean Skincare was born.
