With the new shower gel and hand and body lotion, the daily routine becomes an experience for the senses. The nourishing hair perfume gives the hair a fragrant veil.
The perfume gestures are inspired by the history of perfume, their textures reinterpreted to offer a whole new way of perfuming oneself. A way to make the invisible tangible, the intangible palpable.
Fleur de Peau
The scent of skin: musk fragrances. How do you create a modern and subtle musk fragrance today?
Regarding musk... the 60s were also characterized by a huge wave of empathy, a strong attraction to spirituality and Hindu practices. Transcendental meditation, yoga, vegetarianism. People formed circles, recited mantras, practiced prolonged "Oooommms" and free love. Summer of love.
Musk: Sometimes natural (imported from Tibet, where it is still affordable), but mostly synthetically produced, most pleasantly emanating from the body of loved ones: navel, back of knees, palms. Olfactorily, musk pairs well with soft suede fringe jackets that boys effectively wear against bare skin.
How do you create a modern and subtle musk fragrance today? By blending it with a touch of iris, matte and slightly cool, long-lasting, with a strong aura. This is how glove perfumers used to do it, soaking their leather creations with it. Add a splash of bergamot and Italian mandarin, a handful of pink peppercorns. And aldehydes. Everything intertwines, bringing each other to life. An unusual contrast (surprise!) to what follows, but rounded and smooth.
The musk substances carefully selected by Olivier Pescheux dominate, alternately leathery, powdery, fruity. Sometimes a little wild, then again as delicate as a baby's neck. Beneath it, Ambrettolide gives a hint of the ambrette seeds, which in turn form the connection between the seeds of angelica and carrots, very similar to iris, also pulled from the soil. A successful chain. Transition to earthy tubers, stoic, iron-rich, almost exuding the scent of a wine cellar, yet extremely aristocratic and refined. Graceful Turkish roses come into play, just in time to enliven this introverted heart. The finish is an amber nuance that not only brings its ink and iodine accents but also underlines the lively expression of a "Peace and Love" perfume.
