Preparing the space
- Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble with a base or tray.
- Keep candles away from flammable materials.
- Store candles out of reach of children and pets.
Lighting the candle
- We recommend lighting your candle with a match to avoid burns.
- When lighting for the first time, make sure to let the candle burn until an even layer of liquid wax has formed (approximately 4 hours, depending on the fragrance). This prevents the wax from tunneling and allows the wick to properly absorb the wax, ensuring an even burn. Wicks may produce a small amount of smoke when first lit.
While burning
- After the first lighting, do not let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Do not move a burning or still hot, unlit candle.
- Keep it away from drafts.
- Leave at least 10 cm (4 inches) between two candles.
After each use
- Extinguish the flame: Use a candle snuffer to avoid hot wax splatters.
- Re-center the wick once the candle has been extinguished.
- Trim the wick before relighting your candle with a wick trimmer (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm / 0.12 to 0.2 inches) to avoid fire hazards.
Final note
- Stop using your candle once only 5 mm (0.2 inches) of wax remain or the metal wick base becomes visible.
Care & Storage
- We recommend ventilating the room after burning a candle.
- Allow the wax to cool completely before moving your candle.
- Store it in a dry, temperate place (15°C–25°C / 59°F–77°F), protected from direct sunlight, to avoid discoloration, pigment changes, or wax detachment."
As a result of exceptional savoir-faire and craftsmanship, the art of perfumery meets the expertise of candle manufacturing. Each candle is composed of a blend of several waxes and a high-quality perfume concentrate, as well as a selected wick that guarantees perfect fragrance diffusion and combustion. This is handcrafted work carried out in two workshops near Paris and in Provence by experienced master wax makers.
