Escentric Molecules - Escentric 05
Two years after the launch of EM04, Escentric Molecules 05 is now being released. As the numbering suggests, it is the fifth creation of the label, which has been revolutionizing the fragrance world since 2005 and repeatedly proves that "less" can also mean "more" in the world of perfumes.
The starring role in EM05 is played by the molecule Cashmeran: warm, woody, and with a resinous pine note, it's the abstraction of a hot summer on a Mediterranean island. Molecule 05 focuses on pure Cashmeran, combining an enveloping, musky softness with dry, aromatic woodiness and a sweet, resinous pine note.
With Escentric 05, Geza Schön has created a different kind of summer fragrance: Bergamot and orange provide lightness and cheerfulness, herbs like bay and rosemary a spicy freshness, juniper a herbal tone, and rockrose a sweet, leathery, balsamic quality. The resin mastic contributes the clean, sharp scent of freshly cut branches, while cashmeran lends Escentric 05 a piney warmth.
The packaging, as always, presents a refracted image through the lens of "art and chemistry": summer light scattered into tiny particles, accompanied by a visual rhythm of marine blue and vibrant vitamin green. The travel sizes come in an anodized aluminum case: Molecule 05 in a silver travel case, Escentric 05 in aqua blue.
