Escentric Molecules - Molecule 04
Radically reduced: Molecule 04
In Molecule 04, Geza Schön relies on pure Javanol: a powerful yet soft sandalwood molecule of the latest generation, developed by Givaudan in 2001. This reveals sandalwood in a completely new way: without any heaviness, but with an unprecedentedly soft, shimmering freshness.
“What I love about this fragrance is its almost psychedelic freshness,” explains perfumer Geza Schön, describing his olfactory coup. He describes Molecule 04 as “liquid, metallic grapefruit peel cascading over a bed of velvety, cream-colored roses.”
Packaging and design: strikingly minimalist
The packaging and design, like those of Escentric Molecules 01, 02, and 03, are by the London-based Me Company. Shimmering gold and brown tones reflect the warmth of the Javanol, while pink and orange represent the fragrance's freshness. Stylistically, the design remains consistent: the digital look of Escentric 04 showcases the interplay of "Art & Chemistry"; the radial lines of Molecule 04 are inspired by atomic collisions in a particle accelerator.
A single molecule at the heart of a fragrance – with this concept, the Escentric Molecules label has been causing a sensation for 10 years. Now, perfumer Geza Schön continues his successful series. Escentric Molecules 04 also offers two fragrances: the radical version, based on a single molecule (Molecule), and the classic fragrance (Escentric), composed around the molecule with top, heart, and base notes.
