Gritti, a family of perfumers steeped in tradition, has revived the historic recipes of their ancestor Alvise Gritti, a Venetian nobleman and alchemist, in a modern interpretation. Alvise Gritti, who lived in the 16th century, was a pioneer in developing fragrances that primarily evoked emotions and told stories. The logo is the ancient Gritti family crest. The motto on the band above the crest reads: "Be strong and persevere, even in difficult times."
The fragrances of the Line Gritti all bear the coat of arms of one of the most esteemed Doge families of the “Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia”, the illustrious Republic of Venice.
