A luminous fragrance, full of light and nostalgia... "Le Chant d'Achille" combines the comforting softness of musk notes with the floral radiance of orange blossom. Warmed by the sunny sweetness of everlasting flower, its scent caresses the skin like an indelible memory, permeated with strength and tenderness.
"I recognized him by his salty everlasting flower scent.
His voice is music and his breath shimmers.
A hero, crowned with flowers and gold.
A true legend, an eternal soul."
Commentary from the Perfumer
"Jean-David gave me Madeline Miller's book of the same name. I wanted to capture the sensuality of the text, the 'feeling of words' emanating from the pages. I envisioned a chameleon-like orange blossom on a bed of musk, alternately virginal and warlike, capturing all its nuances and complexity. I decided to combine it with the immortelle flower, with its characteristic warm and salty accents - an allusion to the Mediterranean and a playful reference to the vulnerability of the Achilles heel. Geranium and moss give the impression of a camouflaged fougère, similar to the conflicting feelings that connect the two heroes." — Alexandra Carlin
