For decades, scientists rejected the idea that certain scents could trigger the release of sex hormones. Now, a team of researchers from the University of Bochum has proven that some scents contain special key components that activate brain regions associated with libido.

This is the background to Carnal Blends, INITIO's brand new collection. It uses ingredients that ignite the imagination, with lustful notes closely linked to potent, distinctive pairings. A celebration of boundary-crossing fragrance compositions that possess the power to induce pleasure and awaken physical attraction.

The Carnal Blends collection consists of two uncompromising fragrances, both with a high proportion of Hedione (Methyl Dihydrojasmonate) – named after the Greek word "hedone", which means "pleasure". It is a floral component found in the heart of jasmine and magnolia that brings great airiness and brightness to a composition.

Studies conducted by a German research team show that Hedione activates a brain region responsible for pleasure and increased libido.
