The Rose Collection
The roses of al-Jabál al-Akhdar are hidden atop Oman's highest mountain, the "Green Mountain." Thanks to the mild climate, locals have cultivated roses in al-Jabál al-Akhdar for centuries. The annual Damask rose season begins in March. During this time, residents of the surrounding villages harvest the petals to produce the famous Omani rosewater. It's also the perfect time to visit the breathtaking region of the legendary al-Jabál al-Akhdar.
