Trudon - Altair - Scented Candle
With the Altaïr collection, Trudon travels to the desert with its sand dunes: The woody, floral fragrance combines the strong character of oud with the finesse of a warm peony.
The Call of the Desert
The sensual and opulent fragrance Altaïr belongs to the woody-floral fragrances: The mixture of oud and peony allows us to sensually immerse ourselves in the heat of the desert, in its sandy winds and enveloping blossoms.
With warm and amber tones, the collection reinterprets sand dunes in a modern and vivid way: The design plays with monumental light and golden-brown shadows, with moving waves on the desert surface and geometric elements. Altaïr thus transports us to a majestic and dreamlike place.
A place of dreams
First you perceive the woods, then comes the delicate peony: it brings out the rosy side of the fragrance and a beige-pink world reminiscent of sand dunes. Altaïr unites beautiful, timeless raw materials (sandalwood, cedarwood, styrax, agarwood) that, although different, come together in a shared color palette.
“Altaïr is highly symbolic: it combines the strength of wood and earth with the delicacy of blossoms.” — Émilie Bouge, Perfumer
Altaïr, created by perfumer Émilie Bouge (Robertet), embodies a yearning for distant lands: “I composed Altaïr as an opulent, elegant, naked, and decidedly modern fragrance: The exotic, soft, and enveloping scent transports us to an imaginary destination,” she explains. The woody-floral duality of Altaïr is instantly captivating: A warm peony blends with the strength of oud; it is further deepened by a rich, textured suede note.
The colors of gold and amber
“I try to visualize each fragrance composition with colors. With Altaïr, I imagine the soft hues of wood and sand dunes, with a touch of nudity. The fragrance evokes beige-pink, luminous, and amber tones.” — Émilie Bouge, Perfumer
True to Trudon's craftsmanship, the Altaïr collection evokes the warmth of the desert: the amber-colored glass glows with warm light reflections. The candle holder, handcrafted in Italy, is made even more radiant by the golden Trudon emblem. The elegantly ribbed diffuser on the outside is reminiscent of the architectural grooves of the dunes, further accentuated by a golden band and emblem.
A golden thread runs across the box: it was produced using a hot stamping process and undulates graphically over the surface, like the many waves left by the wind on the surface of the dunes.
