Trudon - L'Œuf diffuser - Ernesto
L'Œuf (the egg) is a decorative object designed to diffuse fragrances from the House of Trudon. Using a funnel, the essence is poured from the refill container into the egg, and the reeds are placed inside. Through capillary action, the essence finds its way into the reeds and is thus distributed within a few hours, depending on air exchange and room temperature. L'Œuf is ideal for small to medium-sized rooms. It releases its fragrance discreetly, evenly, and for a long time. L'Œuf was conceived and designed by Dimitri Smilenko. It is made of traditional materials such as bisque porcelain and turned wood.

Dimitri Smilenko has always been known for his paintings, but he also enjoys experimenting with objects. After a series of lamps and wall sconces, soft-pile carpets, garden furniture, and coffee tables, his contact with Cire Trudon gave him the idea of scenting interiors in a different way. L'Œuf is the result of a precise, perfected process, inspired by the ornamental ostrich eggs found in the cabinets of curiosities of the 16th and 18th centuries.
Interprétation Moderne et Parfumée
L'Œuf draws its inspiration from the spirit of Enlightenment-era cabinets of curiosities, with their first great discoveries and glorification of the animal kingdom. It also draws from Fabergé eggs and the Surrealism of René Magritte. The egg is an extraordinary, poetic object, a Zen object, and a powerful universal symbol (especially in China): it represents life, infinity, and the creation myth.
L'Œuf evokes nature without attempting to copy it… This modern interpretation of fragrance presents clean lines with a minimalist design: black and white, matte and soft surfaces (unglazed ceramic, satin-finished wood).
