XerJoff - Casamorati 1888 - Regio
Regio is a wonderful fragrance from XerJoff's "Casamorati" vintage collection, reminiscent of a time when our history was shaped by conquerors and seafarers.
Inspired by the breathtaking sea and the gentle wind on the coasts of Southern Italy, Regio is a precious mosaic of Mediterranean treasures. Its very unusual, striking aroma comes from a finely tuned blend of fresh lemons and hand-picked lavender blossoms. Bergamot from Calabria, the southern tip of Italy, and a splash of grapefruit accentuate its fresh character. A bouquet of refined notes of ylang-ylang, plum, clove, and cardamom then unfolds in the heart. After that, rare and extremely precious woods such as Indonesian patchouli, white musk, and ambrette seeds set sail, allowing the fragrance to shine in its full power.
Regio is a noble fragrance with finely tuned notes that remind us of journeys in past centuries when new cultures and lands could still be discovered by sea.
The Casamorati 1888 collection, launched by the perfume house XerJoff, reflects the history of the magnificent perfume house of the same name, which was founded in Italy between the 18th and 19th centuries.
La Fabbrica di Profumi C. Casamorati specialized in the production of exquisite fragrances, including Profumeria Fina alla Violetta Ideale, an elegant violet perfume. In addition, various sophisticated bath soaps were also part of their range. Over the years, Casamorati received numerous awards from important national and international personalities. The most extraordinary and certainly most prestigious recognition was personally bestowed upon Signor Casamorati by Her Majesty Queen Margherita of Italy: During a visit to one of the national exhibitions, Her Highness was so impressed by the quality of the soaps that she presented the perfumer with a golden pin as a sign of her gratitude and deep respect.
Xerjoff, itself renowned and popular for its high-quality and exclusive fragrances, has made it its mission to preserve the historical and artistic heritage of that glamorous Casamorati era. Thus, some of the original historical recipes were carefully reinterpreted and re-launched – so that the spirit of Casamorati may live on forever!
